The Cooper Union Hillel is a student run organization whose goal is to form a Jewish community in Cooper Union.
Involved members of this religious club are very active in creating a vibrant atmosphere that incorporates Jewish values into the daily life of a Cooper student.
Every member of this community has the unique opportunity to enhance this community.
There are many religious and secular objectives the Cooper Union Hillel strives to achieve.
The religious aspect of this community is seen through the Shabbaton, celebrating holidays (Purim, Sukkot...), and daily Mincha & Maariv.
The secular aspect includes tremendous help with work and great advice about being a Cooper student.
Through these events and support system, The Cooper Union Hillel is able to unite and foster this family-like community.
Mission:
The Cooper Union Hillel is the Jewish student group at The Cooper Union.
Cooper Hillel is a member of both Cooper Union's Joint Activities Committee

-providing Jewish education on campus and publicizing opportunities else-where
-ensuring that religious needs (e.g. daily prayers, kosher food, . . . ) are met on campus
-promoting the Jewish values of loving-kindness (chesed) and academic and social integrity within the culture of Cooper Union
-creating a network of students and alumni to act as a community within communities" and offer support to underclassmen, upperclassmen, and graduate students alike.
